Original Prints
Printmaking techniques include monotypes, lithographs, woodcuts, intaglio, etchings, linoleum cuts and aquatints. I am drawn to the traditional nature of and the boundaries set by limited editions. I love the relief created by printing with a press. For me, the entire process of making a print is a laborious but enjoyable challenge. Once the concept and sketch are in hand, and the technique in which to best present the idea is chosen, a printmaker has to consider and plan for each step of the printing process. The logic, mental concentration and physical dexterity required is intense! After all of the planning and hard work, the final pulling of a print and seeing the end result is especially satisfying.
